Hollwood star Shia LaBeouf has announced he will not take part in any more Transformers movies.

The latest instalment in the franchise, Transformers: Dark Of The Moon, has been universally panned by critics.

"I just don't think right now there's anywhere to take Sam," Lebeouf said. "I've learned a great deal from director Michael Bay, as a person, as an actor, as a person on set.

"And it's not that I don't enjoy working with Michael. I love working with Michael. I would do any movie Michael wants to do. I just don't think there's anywhere to take it with Sam."

LaBeouf is not be the first major Transformers cast member to leave the series.

Megan Fox was fired last year after comparing Bay with Hitler, reportedly at the instigation of executive producer Steven Spielberg.

And Lebeouf admitted he hooked up with Fox while shooting the firsdt two Transformers movies.

When asked whether he had feelings for the sexy 25-year old, LaBeouf cautiously nodded his head and replied: "Look, you're on the set for six months with someone who's rooting to be attracted to you, and you're rooting to be attracted to them,"

The actor explained: "I never understood the separation of work and life in that situation. But the time I spent with Megan was our own thing, and I think you can see the chemistry on screen."

Shia was then asked whether Megan was dating her now-hubby, Brian Austin Green, at the time of their love-affair, repeating the words "I don't know" twelve times before adding: "It was what it was."
