Travel diary: Ox Cart Festival in Costa Rica – March 9 – 11

So ox cart drivers give themselves a break on this national holiday with a festival in San Antonio de Escazú.

People give gifts to the drivers, and children in traditional dress stand on the back of old ox carts while the beasts themselves are paraded around the town.
