Celebrating its 20th anniversary, this festival celebrates the lifestyle of peace, tolerance, respect and great music. If you don’t mind getting a little dirty – and experimental – then make your way to the Spanish coast with the rest of the Rastas.

Why: The festival is now two decades old and is more-or-less a celebration of the reggae lifestyle’s rags to riches story. Damian Marley is headlining the music line-up and Nobel Peace Prize winner Rigoberta Menchú will be giving a talk at the public forum on personal and social change.

Do it because: Not many fest-goers can say they became better people after a weekend at a music festival – usually, it’s quite the opposite. Rototom Sunsplash offers a true fest experience with a great message. Plus, Castellon is beautiful this time of year.
