Set beside the Adriatic Sea and surrounded by thick forest, Unknown is new on the festival scene this year but packs in an impressive line-up of acts (The Horrors; Jessie Ware) across six days and nights of live music, plus forest, pool and boat parties in Rovin, Croatia. From the creators of Hideout, The Warehouse Project and Field Day, it’ll close summer with a bang.
Why: Unknown’s tagline is “celebrate the last days of summer”. And there’s no better place than the sun-splashed Croatian coast to do just that. The organisers’ track record of fests is also promising, and you’d be hard-pressed to find such a broad soundscape of artists at one festival anywhere else.
Do it because: This is the first year in what’s sure to become a festival tradition, so you can say you were there at the beginning. And rarely does a venue offer so much in the way of location and a mix of chilling out and ‘avin’ it large.
