Travel diary: Yam Festival in Jamaica attractions over 18,000 visitors – April 1

Trelawny residents first started this festival to celebrate yams, and now more than 18,000 people visit the town the day after Easter to participate in cooking competitions and to sample yam buns, punch, puddings and, best of all, sweet yam wine.
