Londoners can be proud to live in what’s deemed to be, for this year at least, the most exciting and highest rated city on the planet. “For London to be crowned the world’s best destination in the Olympic year is a tremendous honour.” said Emma Shaw of TripAdvisor.
“This accolade couldn’t be better timed for the capital in this momentous year and we are delighted. It is a testament to the wonderful array of attractions, dining and accommodation that set London apart from all of these other destinations.” said Gordon Innes, CEO of London & Partners tourism firm.
The results were determined by the popularity of destinations on the TripAdvisor website, gauging the highly rated places and the places travellers had rated as their favourites.
