Rail Maritime and Transport Union and Aslef members have voted to walk out on 2 April and 2 May in amid claims of bullying.

In a letter to London Underground officials the RMT union highlighted the “unfair and disproportionate” treatment of drivers in disciplinary proceedings, the threatened removal of some benefits, and facilities on the Jubilee line being in a “disgusting” state.

“RMT will not sit back and allow the wilful misuse of procedures on any part of the Tube network as a means of bullying and intimidating our members,” said RMT General Secretary Bob Crow.

Howard Collins, London Underground’s chief operating officer, said: “I urge both unions to abandon this unnecessary action and get around the table to resolve the matter.”
