A threatened tube strike could leave England fans stranded in central London after a World Cup match against Slovenia on June 23rd.

London Underground maintenance workers are set to stage two 48-hour strikes over pay, jobs and working conditions.

The strikes, from Wednesday, June 23, and Wednesday, July 14, will affect the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines.

However, the union is warning that the whole network could be hit.

The planned strike on June 23 from 7pm begins straight after England’s World Cup game with Slovenia.

Police are expecting chaos on the streets if supporters coming out of pubs are unable to get home.

Can’t imagine it’ll be a pretty sight if the Poms lose…
