Thai police have announced that two Burmese men have confessed to killing of British travellers David Miller, 24, and Hannah Witheridge, 23 in Thailand.The couple were found dead on the backpackers’ favourite resort island of Koh Tao (pictured) on September 15.
Thai National police chief Somyot Poompanmoung said. A third Burma national, who said he left the crime scene before murder took place had been held since yesterday on suspicion of involvement.
The Thai police added, “DNA test results confirmed that the same DNA was found in the body of the victim.” he added. The two men were reported as also admitting to raping Hannah.
“Both raped the female victim,” a police spokesman said, adding the pair were battered to death with a wooden stick and a garden hoe.
