Bruno Mars’ The Lazy song has topped the UK singles chart, moving up one place from last week and knocking Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO from the top spot.

It’s the third UK number one for LA-based Bruno Mars. He previously achieved chart glory with Just The Way You Are (Amazing) last September and for Grenade in January.

The three chart-toppers have all been taken from Bruno Mars’ album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans, which was itself number one in the album charts at the beginning of the year.

Adele’s 21 remains at the top of the album chart for the 15th time, 12 of which were consecutive weeks.

British actor-turned-bluesman Hugh Laurie’s Let Them Talk, has surprised punters by reaching number two while Adele’s first album 19 held onto the number three spot.

Mars’ album is at number four, followed by Fleet Foxes Helplessness Blues, which has fallen three places.

New in the album chart’s Top 10 were the Glee spinoff album, Glee Presents The Warblers, at number seven and Sade’s The Ultimate Collection at No. 8.

Bruno Mars – real name Peter Gene Hernandez – is signed to Atlantic. Despite his poppy, feel-good image, Mars was arrested for possession of cocaine last year.
