After failing to reach an agreement with London Underground management, ASLEF are planning strikes for later on this year.
The ongoing problems between the two parties resulted in the Central and Waterloo & City lines being shut last Friday, which caused travel chaos.
Speaking to the Evening Standard, ASLEF’s District Organiser Finn Brennan said: “The issues at the heart of this dispute – treatment of staff, failing to stick to agreements made, and cuts in safety training – aren’t going to go away.”
TfL has had meetings with the union but so far a resolution has not been possible.
If they can’t come to an agreement, ASLEF union workers will withdraw their labour on September 17 from the Central and Waterloo & City lines.
