V Festival saw 59 arrests this weekend as police enforced a “zero tolerance” approach to any drug use.
Officers said a large number of people are in custody and a police spokesperson told then BBC: “The majority of the crowd is having a good time but there is a very small minority who spoil things for others and we will make sure they are removed from the festival.”
Kings of Leon, Stereophonics, Paul Weller, Ellie Goulding, Florence and the Machine, Paloma Faith and Kasabian were among bands who played for V Festivals 15th Anniversary in Essex.
