A vampire attack isn’t on our usual list of things-to-watch-out-for-on-the-way-home-from-the-pub. But that’s exactly what happened to an unlucky man in Wellington, New Zealand.

Allegedly, three attackers bit their victim and drank his blood on Wellington’s Mt Victoria.

The three ‘vampires’ have all been charged with intent to render a man unconscious.

Outside the court, one of the attackers claimed he knew there was blood-drinking going on but said: “That wasn’t me,” continuing: “Do I look like a vampire? I’m out during the day time.”

An emergency medicine specialist said the human mouth contains millions of bacteria, is dirtier than that of a dog or cat and both the person bitten and the biter are at high risk of catching diseases.
