16-year-old Yasser Lopez was accidentally shot in the head with a fishing spear when he was loading fishing fear onto a boat with a group of friends.
The large spear went through his brain, entering just above his right eye and penetrating all the way to the back of his skull.
Doctors at a Miami hospital worked for three hours to remove the harpoon.
Amazingly the spear didn’t damage any of the teenager’s vital brain structures. However, he had no recollection of the event.
