Uploaded in September by father Aaron Grant from Canada, the clip shows little baby Connar crying. Nearby pet cat Stewie though intervenes and puts its paws on little Connar’s head, the effect being one that soothes the restless baby, stopping him crying at first and then gently soothing him to sleep.
The clip was posted online in September but has only gone viral in the last few days.
At the end of the clip Stewie – with his paw still on the baby’s head – turns and looks directly in to the camera, seemingly pleased with his handiwork.
