25-year-old Yang Jiabin appears to be passing by an apartment building when the ground suddenly opened up, taking him down into a 52ft hole. Jiaban died at the scene, despite attempts to resuscitate him.
The ground displacement had reportedly been brought on by heavy rain and the poorly planned development rapid development of the city.
