But a video showing the commute chaos at what is believed to be Beijing’s Xierqi station filmed July 18 might just make your morning hell-ride to work a tad more bearable.

The clip shows a train pulling into a packed platform. The doors open and passenger begin to disembark, pushing their way through the crowd. Then almost instantly the waiting commuters begin to surge onto the train, taking with them a number of passengers still trying to get off.

The crowds mass around the doors, pushing, in the vain hope that they’re going to get on.

Some yellow T-shirted rail workers appear pushing the crowds back from the edge of the platform, pulling people off the train if the doors won’t close.

All-in-all it will make any Londoner feel thankful for the mild hell of the tube.
