He’s taking off the original 1996 Cruise caper scene in which his Ethan Hunt is suspended over a vault jammed with security sensors.
If we were being pedantic he would have set the alarms off with every step of his feet, but because the baby’s so cute and complicit with the whole escapade, and required some coaxing to grab the treasure (chocolate) we’ll let it slide.
