Teenagers through the ages have been known for pushing the boundaries and endangering their own safety, but these young Russians are taking it to a whole new level.
After scaling an abandoned 700ft Elektrostal radio tower near Moscow, Russia, they dangle from the structure, performing a sries of calisthenics exercises, without ropes or any distinguishable safety equipment.
While most of us would only scale such heights for an exceptional amount of danger money, and maybe not even then, these guys do it for free – for the buzz and noteriety.
The new fad involves young, reckless photographers climbing skyscrapers, electrical towers and other tall monuments to stand on the very edge and take awesome shots of the view below.
Marat Dupri, 19, is the most high-profile of Russia’s skywalkers. After buying a camera, two years ago, he started taking pictures form his roof, but soon became addicted to the need to push himself further. Check out his stunning photos here.
“When I am on the roof I have a feeling that the whole world is at my feet,” Dupri says.
“All my problems and troubles are left somewhere down. The height exilarates me. I am enjoying with my home town views. It gives me energy and fills with enthusiasm to make new and great shots.”
However, the unnamed guys in the video are seemingly pushing the boundaries ever further. Not content with climbing a structure to get a pretty picture, they seem determined to risk their lives to get video footage that not many people will ever be able to have.
Love it or hate it, they seem happy to be doing what they’re doing and you have to admit, these boys have got pretty big cojones.
Watch the video below. What’s the ballsiest thing you’ve ever done?
