Vintage at Goodwood’s first ever festival this weekend was definitely the best-dressed festival of the summer, although certainly not the most debauched.
West Sussex festival, Vintage at Goodwood, also saw ‘vintage’ performers like Joy Division’s Peter Hook, a reformed The Faces with Ronnie Wood and Mick Hucknall, The Wailers and The Buzzcocks taking to the stage.
Vintage at Goodwood founder, Wayne Hemmingway, said: “I think it’s been an unqualified success. Personally I’ve had amazing time. The dance floor in the Soul Casino was bouncing last night.
“We know we’ve started something very special.”
The festivals main focus was fashion and punters made a massive effort with their vintage clobber.
However, if you were looking for wild party, Vintage at Goodwood wasn’t your place. Some critics labelled the atmosphere more Home Counties village fete than bone fide festival.
Still, nice outfits!
