The Pumas’ Emerging Springbok Rudi Vogt, will move back to flyhalf
for their last round robin clash in the Absa First Division rugby
competition against the Elephants in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.

Vogt steps in for the injured Tiaan Marx, who is nursing a bruised
chest bone. The versatile Vogt came into his own at fullback and was
enjoying a top class season in the number 15-jersey.

The speedy Ruan “Jiffy” Lamprecht, a specialist fullback who was
playing on the wing recently, will be back in his favourite position.

Winger Hyron Thysse has also been ruled out with a groin injury and John Noble joins Gordon Pangetti on the wing.

Reserve hooker Ashton Constant broke his arm against the Leopards,
resulting in Torsten van Jaarsveld, a former Tukkie, getting his first
opportunity at this level.

Number eight Quinten Minnaar returns to the side after a lengthy
lay-off and young lock Eduaan van der Walt is the new number seven
flanker.

Regular captain Corné Steenkamp is back on the bench and should be
fit to take the field in a possible play-off against the Leopards in
Potchefstroom next weekend.

The Pumas must win to qualify for the semi’s or not lose by more
than 32 points in order for the Bulldogs to slip in the back door.
