I, Frankenstein, based on the comic book of the same name, tells of Frankenstein’s creation Adam who is caught in a battle in a dystopian city between two warring clans.
The film stars Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight) as Adam Frankenstein – a strange combination of forename and surname if ever we heard one – as well as up and coming Aussie star Jai Courtney, alongside Brisbane-born Miranda Otto and Brit Billy Nighy.
It is directed by Sydney-born filmmaker Stuart Beattie, whose credits including penning the screenplays for 30 Days Of Night and Baz Luhrmann’s Australia, and who debut directorial gig was the 2010 apocalyptic Tomorrow, When The World Began, which was the highest grossing domestic Aussie film of that year.
The movie was shot in Queensland, Australia.
I, Frankenstein will be released in the new year.
