The scene: Young Shoreditch locals rub shoulders with older diners at this social enterprise restaurant set right on Regent’s Canal. The light and airy feel and waterside views make it a cracking spring venue. Plus the fact
that it’s owned and run by the Shoreditch Trust with impeccable eco and social credentials means you can enjoy the food and do something good for the world.
The grub: Modern European grub. Garlic bruschetta with dips to share, followed by a tasty broccoli and pecorino risotto, and perfectly cooked venison steak on puy lentils.
Behind the bar: Extensive wine list; organic beer and cider by the bottle.
Bill please: Starter to share, two mains and a bottle of Pinot Grigio for £46.
Verdict: Sustainability never tasted so good.
