Taxidermy has been accepted, both as a craft and an art, for centuries, and is once again making a place for itself in the homes of thousands of enthusiasts.
On Wednesday January 15, Boxpark will be kicking off the first in many Anthropomorphic Mouse Taxidermy classes run by Margot Magpie, who teaches the perennially sold-out taxidermy course at The Last Tuesday Society.
This workshop will introduce students to the process and techniques behind basic taxidermy. Students will learn how to skin, prep, preserve, mount and position the animal – if your stomach’s strong enough, this might be worth a look.
When: January 15, from 7pm – 11pm
Where: Boxpark, 2 – 4 Bethnal Green Road, E1 6GY
Tickets cost £60 each and include all materials, including a selection of anthropomorphic accessories. To book, click here.
