The View (1965)
Catapulted, bafflingly, to the top of charts in 2007 after winning favour as a kind of Scottish Libertines, The View have spent the last couple of years growing up.
Like the second album from fellow Scots The Fratellis, Which Bitch? is a tidier, tighter record than its predecessor.
It’s not, though, any better: 5Rebbeccas is noisy indie-by-numbers, while elsewhere, the occasional orchestral arrangements they favour are wasted on songs as feeble as Distant Doubloon. WILL FULFORD-JONES
