Noisettes (Vertigo)
On Wild Young Hearts Noisettes jettison the art-punk aesthetic which made their first album such a repetitive affair, for something far more eclectic.
Songs veer dizzingly from disco (Don’t Upset The Rhythm) to ’60s pop (Wild Young Hearts), from Walker Brothers balladeering (Every Now And Then) to electro (Saturday Night), which
allows singer/bassist Shingai Shoniwa more latitude to show off her incredible pipes.
Good stuff.
