Aussie dating site CitySwoon is hosting a truly historic event in February 2014; the world’s ‘Biggest Blind Date’, and all Sydney singles are invited to come along and enjoy the fun.
The eight-year record for the ‘Biggest Blind Date’ was recently beaten in Chicago with 654 people on 327 blind dates. Now Sydney will up the ante by staging its official Guinness World Record® attempt at the Sydney Opera House on Friday, February 21, from 7.30pm.
The event will see over 700 Sydneysiders and Sydney’s international visitors enjoy a ‘matched date’ inside the Sydney Opera House.
In order to break the record, each blind date must last at least one hour. Once the one hour has passed, there will be a countdown and a celebratory after-party event will be held. Participants are welcome to mingle with other record-breakers, sip champagne, partake of canapés and just have a general good time. And each participant will receive a copy of the Guinness World Record® certificate. which is nice.
To take part in this event, you just need to be in Sydney at the time and you will need to purchase a ticket on the CitySwoon website. You’ll need to provide a few details about yourself for the purposes of the matched date, and tickets are $98 plus Opera House booking fees. See you there…?
