The unnamed woman fled her house and raced to Norbury fire station where she pleaded with the fire brigade to help her.
Several firefighters went to her home on London Road and flushed out the intruder.
The London Fire Brigade have confirmed that their staff attended but didn’t seem to pleased about the nature of the call-out, claiming that the firefighters were ‘in and out in ten minutes’.
The fox is thought to have entered the woman’s house while she was watering her plants outside.
