X Factor’s Cheryl and Dannii dissed Jay Kay when he appeared on the show this Saturday after the Jamiroquai singer called the pair “f**king useless” a few days earlier. The snub to Jay Kay was all the more obvious for the warm reception given to fellow performer Rihanna.
Jay Kay was appearing on The X Factor to perform his new single White Knuckle Ride but if he was expecting support from judges Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue then he will have been sorely disappointed.
From the frosty reception given to the Jamiroquai front man, it appeared that both Cheryl and Dannii were fuming that Jay Kay told The Sun:
“What the fuck. When have you [Cheryl and Dannii] ever done anything? You’re useless. The pair of you. I mean you look great and I’d like to f**king shag you but that’s all.”
“I just don’t like the wanky stuff I have to do. F**king X Factor and that. I’m going to have to sing in front of f**king amateurs. Do you know what I mean?”
Amazingly, Jay Kay still appeared on the show and even attempted a half-hearted apology for his (reportedly drunken) rant, telling host Dermot O’Leary:
“I was unsure of coming on a show like this, but I’ve had a lovely day”.
But while Rihanna got a standing ovation from the judges after singing Only Girl in the World amid a giant staged food-fight, Cheryl and Dannii ignored most of Jay Kay’s performance before refusing to applaud.
It’s not the first time Jay Kay has been caught out with his big gob. This little pap meltdown is an eternal fave.
