Katie Waissel will not be quitting The X Factor despite reports that her family are urging the singer to ditch the show in order to save her health.
The 24-year-old has reportedly suffered from a chest infection and has had panic attacks while on the ITV show.
“Some of her family think it would be better if she left the competition now,” a source told the Daily Mirror.
“But Katie isn’t having any of it…She knows despite all the problems the show is her best chance of success in the music business.”
Waissel, meanwhile, has Tweeted her X Factor dedication, telling fans:
“I have a lot of hard work to do for this weekend and that’s my main focus right now, to give you the best performance I can possibly give xxx.”
A spokesperson for The X Factor said: “Katie is absolutely fine and will be performing this weekend.”
