Wagner Carrilho is the next X Factor winner according to several reports claiming that viewers are voting the Brazilian showman into top positions in the live shows every week, keeping him safe from the elimination process.
The Sun newspaper even says that their sources claim Wagner is “in the first three” every week.
And you can find plenty of proof of Wagner’s popularity on the Facebook page ‘Wagner to win’, which now has over 30,000 members.
But it’s not only the common man and woman on the street who have fallen for Wagner’s charm and unconventional dance moves.
Even some of the UK’s biggest celebrities are publicly backing Wagner, including Twilight actor Robert Pattinson and R’n’B/hip hop group N-Dubz.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror a few weeks ago Pattinson said: ‘”He [Wagner] is the sort of guy you’d do a drunken duet with at a family wedding. I love this guy. He doesn’t have the best voice, but he enjoys what he does and I respect him for that.”
“It’s great just to see him wind Simon Cowell up,” he continued.
So is the real reason for this widespread Wagner-mania perhaps just the satisfaction of seeing the X Factor tycoon fume on live TV, we wonder?
The current odds on Wagner winning this year’s X Factor are 12/1.
