The girl band, mentored by Tulisa and who won the show’s top spot in front of a 10,000 Wembley Arena crowd as well as millions watching at home, are now tipped to be the Christmas number one.
The band, put together on the show after entering as solo artists, comprise Jade Thirwell, 18, Jesy Nelson, 20, Perrie Edwards, 18, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 19.
They beat Marcus Collins, mentored by Gary Barlow, to the title.
Their performance included En Vogue’s Don’t Let Go and Silent Night, and Cannonball, the single they will release in competition for the Christmas number one spot.
On being announced as this year’s winners, Jade Said: “We are so grateful and thankful to everyone who voted and to everyone backstage.”
