Refurbishing hostels is part of YHA’s commitment to deliver the best possible backpacker accommodations in New Zealand.
YHA opened a brand new hostel in Christchurch last year. An upgrade to YHA Auckland City is planned for early 2016 and a new hostel will be built in Lake Tekapo in 2017.
Backpackers may not spend much on accommodation, but they still want good quality, clean and comfortable accommodation. It looks like YHA New Zealand is getting the balance right.
