Speaking to the Croydon Advertiser, Ms Holley revealed how upsetting the comments she overheard were.
“Arthur was asleep at the time, so I went in and ordered us some drinks and cake. While we sat there Arthur woke up and he was quite upset and so I started to breast-feed him,” she said.
Ms Holley said that the couple who abused her were not sitting in a way that meant they had to face her, and she overheard them saying what she was doing was ‘disgusting’, that she was a ‘slut’ and that she should stay at home during feeding times.
In a statement, Costa have said that they are very happy for nursing mothers to breastfeed in their stores.
