Summer’s on its way soon so make sure you get your London festival tickets locked and loaded. Here’s our guide to the biggest events in 2010.

Lovebox

Australian electro act Empire of the Sun will play at this year’s Lovebox Festival at Victoria Park in London.

Headlining the three day (July 16-18)  event are man-of-the-moment Dizzee Rascal (Friday); legendary art-rock pioneers Roxy Music (Saturday); and music and style icon Grace Jones (Sunday).

Super-producer Mark Ronson & The Business; beloved electro pop-juggernauts Hot Chip;The Maccabees; Ellie Goulding; and the Noisettes will also feature at Lovebox.

South West Four

Clapham Common will again play host to the SouthWest Four music festival on August 28/29, 2010.

Super DJ Armin van Buuren will make his only London appearance of 2010 when he headlines the Saturday night.

Crowd favourite Fatboy Slim (aka Norman Cook) will light up Sunday night with this promise: “Expect the full Fatboy summer extravaganza! Me DJing, big screens, big visuals, big lasers, inflatable dancing pigs and again, lots of bells and whistles!”

Wireless

Melbourne rockers The Temper Trap will feature on the first day of Wireless 2010 on Friday, July 2 at Hyde Park. The Ting Tings, The Gossip and Pink will also perform on this day.

Sunday, July 4 will be headlined by hip hop heavyweight Jay Z and will also feature Mr Hudson.

Hard Rock Calling

Wolfmother, Australia’s retro rockers, will open for grunge legends Pearl Jam at Hard Rock Calling on Friday, June 25 in Hyde Park.

Ben Harper & Relentless7; The Hives; and the Gaslight Anthem will also play on June 25.

Other acts for following two days of Hard Rock Calling will be announced soon.

High Voltage

Old schoolers ZZ Top and ELP will headline the newest kid on the festival block, High Voltage on July 24 and 25 at Hyde Park.

Ronny James Dio, the man who popularised the devil’s horn gesture, will play with his former Black Sabbath bandmates as Heaven and Hell.

Black Label Society, Down and Foreigner will also play the festival.

Camden Crawl

Scottish alternative Rockers Teenage Fanclub and American indie pop exponents The Drums have been announced as headliners for the first evening of the 2010 Camden Crawl to be held on May 1-2.

Camden Crawl takes place across 40 venues and will feature about 200 performances form big name artists to up-and-coming acts. The events daytime programme includes comedy, freestyle sports, theatre, open-air stages, DJs and visual arts.

Like last year, MTV will host and film sets by eight extra special guests at the Roundhouse. These bands will be announced in March.

On The Edge

A free festival of world music held at Richmond Riverside.

On the Edge is a celebration of live music with musical styles from country to Caribbean, Balkan to Bangara, reggae to ragga.

2010 will be the 15th year of this festival.
