With The Open Golf Championship in full flow and the sport being added to the roaster of Olympic events this August, why not try out your hand/eye co-ordination around the Capital at one of the crazy golf bars that offer more than a casual stroll around a links course.

With burger-in-hand at the first, or a cocktail whilst your line-up a bumpy pitch to the nineth, why not head to Gherkin Towers for the latest addition to the Capitals array of sporting fun.

Open since April, Swingers, which appropriately enough is situated in a former war bunker (geddit?) can offer two nine-hole golf courses, plenty of cocktail offerings and pizza and burger options as you navigate your way around the holes of East London.

Plonk Golf operate all over London, with new re-designed courses in Dalston, Hackney, Brixton and Battersea. Here from as little as £5 a head, you too can pretend you’re heading down the final fairway like Tiger Woods about to lift the little jug. Or in this case, putting before a swig – and not a swing – of beer.
