Already tipped for Oscar and awards season glory, this quirky comedy tale has a look and feel all of its own. Alexandro Gonzales Inarritu’s film stars Michel Keaton as late-in-his-career actor Riggan Thomas, who’s famed for earlier big screen role as the titular superhero, comic-book-type character. While the Birdman pics made him famous they brought little critical acclaim, which he is now trying to rectify by putting on and starring in an ambitious Broadway show to show he is more than just a movie star, and prove to himself he is a genuine talent and still relevant.

With an all-star cast featuring Naomi Watts, Emma Stone and Edward Norton, as well as nods to Keaton’s past as Batman in the Tim Burton’s 1989 movie, it has seen Keaton hailed for a virtuoso performance that has tinseltown predicting big things comes March.
