What’s your show about?
I’m gigging constantly – I’m doing a solo show at the Soho Theatre on May 25 and 26 – based on my honest Based On A True Story show from Edinburgh Festival last year.

What was your first gig and how did it go?
Spokane Washington at The Bridge, and unfortuanately it went well. Getting laughs is a narcotic, and when it didn’t go as well the second time, I had to do it again and again.

What’s the weirdest gig you have ever done?
I can’t remember how many weird gigs I’ve done. White Horse Yukon Trapper Days, Kazakhstanl a barge off the coast of Honolulu; a snowmobile owners’ convention – the list goes on. Any clown can play clubs but the real interesting stuff makes good stories.

How do you deal with hecklers?
I cut their heads off.

If you weren’t doing this, what would you be doing?
Ice climbing and/or directing my next film project.
