Led by Indiana University and published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine, it interviewed people aged between 21 and 65 and found men reached orgasm an average of 85% of the time when having sex with a familiar partner, compared to 63% on average for heterosexual women.
That figure rose to 75% for lesbian women but dropped to 58% for bisexual women.
The same was not true for men.
A possible explanation was that lesbian women were more comfortable and familiar with the female body, the study explained.
“Findings from this large dataset of US singles suggest that women, regardless of sexual orientation, have less predictable, more varied orgasm experiences than do men and that for women, but not men, the likelihood of orgasm varies with sexual orientation.
“These findings demonstrate the need for further investigations into the comparative sexual experiences and sexual health outcomes of sexual minorities.”
So it’s scientifically proven: men are selfish lovers… (TNT prepares for public backlash).
