Filthy MacNasty's

If you’re partial to a drop of the harder stuff, this Islington gem does a great range of whiskies, and is also renowned for its live music nights, art exhibitions and even the odd poetry slam when feeling uber-trendy.

Auld Shillelagh

Widely believed to serve the best Guinness in London, this atmospheric little boozer on Stoke Newington Church Street hosts live music every week, and has consistently lovely staff who know how to expertly pull the black stuff.

Boston Arms

A more raucous affair is this pub in Tufnell Park, which shows Gaelic Athletics Association games (Gaelic football, hurling, etc) on its big screens.

Happy hour is Monday to Friday ‘til 7pm, with beers from £2.10 a pint.
