Finding good tapas in the capital is a bit of a minefield - it seems like for every place serving lush Spanish food, there are ten churning out greasy, below-par dishes. However, we've managed to locate three of the best...

El Parador

This family-run restaurant in Camden has a massive range, including an impressive vegetarian selection, and adds authentic touches such as Asturian cider. Three-for-two on weekday lunchtimes, dishes from £4.20-£8.50.

The perennially popular Venetian small plates joint sure isn’t cheap, but dishes are filling and mostly on the nose (be sure to order a few pizzettes). Prepare to wait on line before being seated. Dishes from £3-£9.50.

Angels & Gypsies

A super-stylish spot in Camberwell (not an oxymoron, as it turns out), Angels & Gypsies imports its own cured meats from Spain and the menu is seasonal and organic where possible.  Dishes from £2.50-£12.50.
