Once upon a time, this pub was a tramshed, and the first thing that hits you is the size: the ceilings are 75 foot above you in a cavernous room that features a mezzanine running around three of the walls.

The scene: Twinkling fairly lights give the venue cosy, heartfelt vibes, and the off-kilter, slightly skewed decor (large mirrors, lampshades, huge leather single-seat sofas, the Tube station-esque tiles) conjures an aura of stylish, slightly timeless intrigue.

The grub:
It’s a limited option of bar snacks only, so it is down to you to keep your metabolism going with a glass of vino, or the like.
Behind the bar: A wide range of beer, draught and bottled, sits alongside wines, spirits and shooters – so whatever your tipple, or if you just fancy a change, there’s something here to cater for all.

Bill please: Beers from £3.80; wines from £3.75; spirits from £2.70.

: A winning venue that maximises the options afforded by its imposing, impressive building. It’s a lively Friday-night venue that is packed to the rafters and buzzing, and has a stage, too, on which bands and comedy acts are hosted.

The Tram And Social’s layout also makes it ideal for more cosy, one-to-one drinks, or for lazy afternoon chill outs as well. Pretty much a clear-cut winner in all areas but food, and highly recommended.
