Lord’s Tavern launches exclusive burger range.
To celebrate National Burger Month and the beginning of a summer of international Test cricket, the Lord’s Tavern Pub has launched an international themed burger menu. The ‘Home of Cricket’ will offer a choice of five burgers, each celebrating the cuisine of a different renowned cricket nation.
The menu, which has been created by Lord’s Tavern Head Chef Mervy Hettiarachige Don, includes combinations such as a Jerk chicken breast paired with caramelised mango salsa to honour the flavours of the West Indies, and a Beef patty with cheese, bacon, egg and beetroot in homage to the Aussie love of creative burger combinations.
Each burger is priced at £12 and for an extra £1.50, can be accompanied with a matching beer from the same region: Red Stripe, Steinlager, Fosters, Cobra or Marston’s Pedigree.
Situated next to the famous Grace Gates, the Lord’s Tavern is the bar and restaurant of Lord’s Cricket Ground. Established in 1814, Lord’s Cricket Ground was founded by Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and is known as the ‘Home of Cricket’ around the world.
