Tony Abbott has again made comments about Lindsay candidate Fiona Scott’s looks.

Abbott found himself in hot water last week for saying that Scott had “sex appeal” before explaining that he had been a bit “exuberant” in his choice of appraisals. He has continued though to make comments about her looks again this week.

While out campaigning in Lindsay, Scott answered a question about Abbott’s economic plans with the Liberal leader, who had returned to the scene of his gaffe, on hand to deliver yet another comment about her looks.

“Obviously from that answer she ain’t just a pretty face,” he said of her praise of his economic plans.

Kevin Rudd has been quick to respond, saying that comments about a female’s appearance made in the workplace would not be tolerated elsewhere and would be likely to land an employer in trouble.

Australia will vote on September 6.
