Overview: About 300m from a long, quiet beach and amid scenic farmlands is this basic yet hospitable hotel in the beautiful Cotentin peninsula of Normandy, France.
Specifically, it’s just outside the sweet little Omonville Village in La Hague, and is geared to provide a comfy retreat for hikers who take advantage of the area’s hugely underutilised landscapes. Many visitors here are taking on part or all of the famed 180-mile coastal walking trail, GR223, which runs from Mont St-Michel to Cherbourg.
Wow factor Dale Kerrigan’s head would explode at the level of ‘serenity’ here – with all rooms looking onto the ocean or fields. rooms Double or twin rooms are available, and while basic, are very well fitted out, with double-glazed windows in case the distant moo of a local cow might wake you up.
Bill, please Double or twin rooms range from £56 to £85 per night, depending on the season. Additional bed or a TV is available, but costs extra.
