Tell us about the show...
Comedy For Grown Ups is designed to attract an audience of a certain age who want comedians whose attitude reflects their own.
It’s in response to the cult of youth contaminating entertainment – young people can come but they’ve got to behave themselves, or else!
What’s the funniest thing you’ve ever seen?
Tramps dancing. It is sadly a dying art, a lost part of our British heritage. Mind you, dogs that get stuck together while humping comes pretty close.
Who’s the most unintentionally funny person you’ve met?
My grandad was the embodiment of a modern day Magwitch [from Dickens’ Great Expectations]. He took me to watch The Jungle Book and marvelled at how they got the animals to act.
Where was your first show? My first show was in a community centre in Stratford. It was a long, long time ago. I stormed it with my anti-Roman occupation routines.
