US rower Henrik Rummel may have not been as excited about his bronze medal win as people thought he was.
After the US won bronze in the Four Men's coxless rowing yesterday, pictures circulated the internet revealing what to many appeared to be an Olympic boner, pictured second to the left above.
However, Rummel deflated the rumours in a comment on a post of the picture on Reddit, saying that he was just unfortunately positioned, not aroused.
"This is me and I swear it's not erect!" said Rummel in the comment. "I don't know why it ended up in that position but there you go."
The Olympic bronze medallist also posted an above-the-waist picture of himself, verifying that he was the user.
There were well over 250 comments on the photo. One user saying, “This is the opposite of mourning wood.”
Another user commented, “Dude when you win a medal in the goddamn Olympics your penis can be however you want. You earned it.”
Well said.
