Manchester Psych Fest returns on Saturday 5 September 2026, taking over the Oxford Road Corridor for a full day of psychedelic, indie and experimental music spread across some of the city’s best-loved rooms. Tickets are £101.14 from manchesterpsychfest.com, with doors opening at 10am.

The headline tier is genuinely special. The Beta Band, reunited and as influential as ever, top the bill alongside avant-pop veterans Stereolab and American garage-psych force Ty Segall. Swedish composer Anna von Hausswolff brings her vast, organ-driven sound to the mix, and LA psych legends Allah-Las, viral Quebec experimentalists Angine de Poitrine, and psych rockers White Denim round out the upper card.

Further down the bill, Northern favourites Working Men’s Club bring their synth-driven intensity, Welsh artist Gwenno performs alongside Brooklyn post-punks Model/Actriz, post-punk duo The KVB, and Belgian-Canadian psych duo Ghostwoman. Leeds six-piece Adult DVD, dream-pop outfit Night Tapes, and lo-fi shoegazers thistle. are among more than 70 acts confirmed across the day.

Venues include Manchester Academy, the O2 Ritz, Gorilla, YES, the Deaf Institute, The Bread Shed, and an outdoor stage at Projekts Skatepark. Alongside the music, Innerstrings provide live visuals, and the day also takes in food stalls, art, DJs, workshops and yoga. No camping, no fields: this is a full festival experience played out across the urban grid of central Manchester.

Manchester Piccadilly is well served by trains from across the UK, and Oxford Road is a short walk or tram ride from the station. The event is 14-plus.
