The couple will brave the weather in North West England to give their kids - Maddox, 11, Pax, eight, Zahara, seven, Shiloh, six, and four-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox – a traditional break in the Lake District.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Angelina has to remain close to the UK because of her filming schedule for ‘Maleficent’.
“Originally, the film was supposed to be shooting close to the Lakes, but relocated to a more convenient spot close to Pinewood studios.
“They’d already booked a few days off though, and they didn’t want the kids to miss out on their trip up to the Lakes, so they decided to go anyway.
“Brad has rented out an entire boathouse, and the couple have been looking up some local restaurants to dine at whilst there.”
Thrill seeker Brad has also planned some adventure activities with the kids.
The source added: “They’re also planning a day of quad biking for the kids – and Brad.”
The family spent last weekend in the seaside town of Le Touquet in France.
