Winter continues to strike and cause chaos as freezing fog has hit the UK grounding more than 70 flights.
Heathrow cancelled 70 flights as a result of the fog, saying on their Twitter page: “Visibility has not improved, flight disruptions are present & expected t o continue until further notice. Please call your airline for info.”
Problems have not been restricted to airports though with commuters on the roads and train networks suffering delays and cancellations too just a week after widespread chaos was caused by the first snowfall of the year.
The cold weather saw temperatures drop as low as -3C in London, with -10C reported in some parts of Scotland. There is good news and bad news though – the temperature is expected to rise over the coming days, but rain is expected to come with it.
